  • 1909. Rodjen je u svestenickoj porodici.
  • 1927. Zavrsio je Filozofski fakultet u Beogradu, a zatim je kratko boravio u Parizu.
  • 1928. Sa O. Davicom i Dj. Jovanovicem objavio je tri sveske casopisa Tragovi, a svaka je imala samo po osam primeraka.
  • 1929. Sa O. Davicom, Dj. Jovanovicem i D. Maticem radio je na okupljanju grupe istomis ljenika, medju kojima su bili A. Vuco, M. Dedinac, M. Dimitrijevic, koju je Ristic nazvao nadrealistickom.
  • 1930. Jedan je od umetnika koji su potpisali manifest u almanahu Nemoguce– LæImpossible, gde je objavio i seriju crteza bez naslova (str. 32, 67, 104) i Tri puta san.
  • 1931–1932. Sa O. Davicom i Dj. Jovanovicem bio je osnivac casopisa Nadrealizam danas i ovde.
  • 1931. Sa O. Davicom i D. Maticem objavio je Polozaj nadrealizma u drustvenom procesu.
  • 1933. Policija ga je uhapsila zbog revolucionarne aktivnosti pa je proveo vise meseci u zatvoru.
  • 1934. Napustio je Beograd i otputovao u London gde je ostao nekoliko godina.
  • 1936. Prisustvovao je otvaranju nadrealisticke izlozbe u New Burlington Galleries u Londonu. Napisao je monodramu Dan bez noci (Beograd, 1974).
  • 1939. Sa D. Frnjem objavio je A. Serbo–croat Phonetic Reader u Londonu.
  • 1944–1949. Radio je kao urednik emisija za inostranstvo na Radio Beogradu.
  • 1949–1978. Bio je direktor Instituta za eksperimentalnu fonetiku i patologiju govora u Beogradu.
  • 1968–1980. Redovno je posecivao Indiju radi lingvistickih istrazivanja. Objavio je mnogo strucnih radova iz uporedne lingvistike.
  • 1972. Napisao je knjigu posvecenu uspomenama na nadrealizam Do nemoguceg.
  • 1976. Sa M. Risticem napravio je knjigu pastela i pesama Pass–T–Elle (Calcutta).
  • 1989. Objavio je knjigu U sredistu nadrealizma, :eljust dijalektike, posvecenu nadrealistic koj anketi iz almanaha.

  • 1909 Naissance dans la famille d’un pope.
  • 1927 Termine ses études à la faculté de lettres de Belgrade, et séjourne brièvement à Paris.
  • 1928 Avec O. Davico et Dj. Jovanovic, il publie trois cahiers de la revue Tragovi (Traces), dont chacun compte seulement huit exemplaires.
  • 1929 Avec O. Davico, Dj. Jovanovic et D. Matic, Kostic s’engage pour rassembler un groupe de jeunes partageant les mêmes idées, que Ristic nomme groupe surréalistie. Parmi les autres membres figurent A. Vuco, M. Dedinac, M. Dimitrijevic.
  • 1930 Il est un des artistes signataires du manifeste dans l’almanach Nemoguce – L’Impossible où il publie une série de dessins sans titre (pp. 32, 67,104) et Tri puta san (Trois fois le rêve).
  • 1931–1932 Avec O. Davico et Dj. Jovanovic, il est fondateur de la revue Nadrealizam danas i ovde (Surréalisme aujourd’hui et ici).
  • 1931 Il publie avec O. Davico et D. Matic Polozaj nadrealizma u drustvenom procesu (Position du surréalisme dans le processus social).
  • 1933 Arrêté par la police pour des activités révolutionnaires, il est emprisonné durant quelques mois.
  • 1934 Kostic quitte Belgrade pour Londres où il reste durant quelques années.
  • 1936 Présent lors de l’ouverture de l’exposition surréaliste à la New Burlington Galleries à Londres. Il écrit le monodrame Dan bez noci (Jour sans nuit) (Belgrade, 1974).
  • 1939 Avec D. Fry, Kostic publie A Serbo–croat Phonetic Reader à Londres.
  • 1944–1949 Rédacteur des émissions pour l’étranger de Radio Belgrade.
  • 1949–1978 Directeur de l’ Institut de phonétique expérimentale et pathologie de la parole de Belgrade.
  • 1968–1980 Voyage fréquemment en Inde pour ses recherches linguistiques. Publie plusieurs travaux spécialisés de linguistique parallèle.
  • 1972 Ecrit un livre consacré aux mémoires du surréalisme Do nemoguceg (Jusqu’à l’impossible).
  • 1976 Avec M. Ristic il compose un livre de pastels et de poèmes Pass–T–Elle (Calcutta).
  • 1989 Publie le livre U sredistu nadrealizma (Au milieu de surréalisme), :eljust dijalektike (Gueule de la dialectique) consacré à l’enquête de l’almanach.

  • 1927 Finishes the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade and then spends a short period in Paris.
  • 1928 With O. Davico and Dj. Jovanovic publishes three volumes of the magazine Trails, each having only eight copies.
  • 1929 With O. Davico, Dj. Jovanovic and D. Matic assembles a group of like–minded people, including A. Vuco, M. Dedinac, M. Dimitrijevic, which Ristic dubbed Surrealist.
  • 1930 One of the artists who signed the manifesto in the almanac Nemoguce – L’impossible, where a series of his untitled drawings was published (pp. 32, 67, 104) and Tri puta san (Three Times a Dream).
  • 1931–1932 Founds Surrealism Here and Now with O. Davico and Dj. Jovanovic
  • 1931 Publishes the Position of Surrealism in the Social Process with O. Davico and D. Matic.
  • 1933 Arrested by the police for his revolutionary activity and spends several months in prison.
  • 1934 Leaves Belgrade for London where he spends several years.
  • 1936 Attends the opening of the Surrealist exhibition at the New Burlington Galleries in London. Writes the monodrama Dan bez noci (Day Without Night) (Belgrade, 1974).

  • 1944–1949 Foreign programs editor in Radio Belgrade.
  • 1949–1978 Director of the Institute for Experimental Phonetics and Speech Defects in Belgrade.
  • 1968–1980 Regularly visits India doing linguistic research there. Publishes numerous scientific papers on comparative linguistics.
  • 1972 Writes a book about his recollections on Surrealism Do nemoguceg (Up to the Impossible).
  • 1976 With M. Ristic makes a book of pastels and poems Pass–T–Elle (Calcutta)
